I am new to this forum. I spend most of my time on the RLS forum, but I also have (treated) sleep apnea. I always tell people that I don't have insomnia. I could sleep just fine if I weren't walking around! Well-meaning people are always making suggestions to me regarding getting to sleep. If only! I can sleep on a dime when I'm not walking around. My CPAP machine is my best friend, after years of being prescribed sleeping pills that never worked. Fortunately, my body wanted oxygen and would wake me up! Sleep is not always a matter of "sleep hygiene" or reducing anxiety or stress. A good night's sleep can be a complicated goal!

Hi ratfancy, my CPAP machine is also my best friend. I wouldn't be here now if I didn't have one. I get fed up with people saying that they couldn't hack it and they also criticise the strap marks on my face.
I tell them, if I didn't use the CPAP machine I would be dead now. I was on my way to dying from the heart problems that stopping breathing while asleep was causing me. They just don't get it, oh well 🤔
Although I have many complex health issues, my CPAP helps me get a good sleep, I am 100% compliant and my CPAP is also my best friend 👍😀
Hello. I got to ask you how you've been with your sleep apnea. I'm asking you because recently my younger sister, she's been diagnosed with sleep apnea and she's been instructed to use a CPAP machine ( cpapoutlet.ca/machines ). I wonder how the device would benefit. Well, I don't remember hearing anyone say that a CPAP machine is their best friend. Usually, people would tell you that it has got some side effects and it takes a while to get adjusted to it. Does the machine completely cure your sleep apnea once and for all?
