Anybody ever heard anything like this before ?

I have been a poor sleeper all my life mainly due to working shifts amongst other things. About 5 years ago I started to have severe night-time heart palpitations which only happened when I went to bed (as if I already wasn't a poor sleeper) these have made my life miserable. I have had every investigation known to man which has ended up being diagnosed with "positional ectopic beats". I have been proscribed beta blockers , statins and aspirin. The consultants says they can do no more and will give me a ring in 12 months! NOW here's the thing...I have been trying to monitor myself very specifically about when and how I get the PVC'S and what I eat and what time I take the meds etc etc.....just incase I can change things by doing something different. My conclusion is that my PVC'S are actually linked to my sleeping ....I wake up with my chest thumping several times a night, as soon as I open my eyes they stop, and then when I close my eyes within 30 secoonds they start again !....its as if my body won't let me sleep....its really weird. I'me not sure now where all this is going and I think my GP thinks I am crazy...but its all very real I can assure you.....has anybody got any thoughts on this....I am all out of ideas, its all a nightmare ( excuse the pun) . Thank you...

Hi Mgs. I’ve had PVCs for a long time. The more I worry the worse they get. The worse they get the more I worry. A vicious cycle. Try not reacting even just a few times and see how that feels......

so do I! I discovered that it has to do with digestion and probably the vagus nerve. That's why I try to have dinner at 5:06 and so I avoid ectopic and palpitations. It's also the bloating. antidepressants. Try it, health!.
