This is a poem I wrote on the lack of sleep I experience stemming from my anxiety and depression, enjoy❤️

Night falls upon the land

One thing I don’t understand

As other sleep peacefully

The clock on my wall is all I see

A reminder of how the will fly

As the night will slowly say goodbye

One last chance to close your eyes

And that is when I realize

Another restless night was lost

No one knows the true cost

Hope u enjoyed and can relate❤️

Thanks for the poem. I really enjoyed it. This is my favorite part:

"Another restless night was lost

No one knows the true cost"

I connected with this part mostly because I have recently learned what the cost is. I went to the Optometrist a couple of weeks ago. Apparently, insomnia can affect your sight. It did for me. Now I must wear bifocals.

A lot of health issues can stem from insomnia

I think this also stems from loneliness. I say this because when I am involved with someone or in a relationship, I don't have sleeping problems. It's like my mind is in alert mode, trying to keep me safe from imaginary dangers. I just wish I could tell it to calm down and relax because there is no danger.

Try listening to this relaxation guide thing it actually kinda works, not entirely but it helps. And I agree with the lonely theory, cause my boyfriend and I haven’t been seeing each other science summer started which is kinda a bummer

My problem is I have ADD so I can’t stay still, but if I really put my mind to it, it does help with calming you
