Hi all, new here. Since my car crash 9 months ago my sleep has been terrible. The first few months I slept drug induced but now I’m so bad
It’s 3.33am as I type this. I’m restless, in pain (taken my strong meds) and I simply get myself into such a state. I’m exhausted and low.
Restless legs, nerve damage, tossing, turning, wake up in pools of sweat.
Dark room, tried meditation, I don’t look at phone (I did now in despair and wanted to ask you)
I’m getting to a point where I dread night time.
Hope you’re all managing well, any tips would be greatly appreciated

With all that going on I am going to guess you aren't working at present so - why go to bed? Stay up do whatever it is you like to do to pass your time and when tire and ready go to sleep on the sofa, bed, bath or in a tiny tea cup - wherever you can get the rest.
There is so much going on not to mention the psychological stress of the accident and any PTSD resulting from it you aren't aware of,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. No, I can’t work right now, I smashed both ankles, leg, arm, pelvis, wrist and lower spine in the crash. Hit a tree. Classed as disabled now due to hugely impaired movement 😞.
I do think there’s an element of ptsd in there, yes. I certainly re live it more than I wish to.
My doctor simply won’t listen to any of my concerns. The pain daily is exhausting and so when I can nap it’s uncomfortable at best.
