Hello all,

Yes, I had one panic attack in my sleep last week. It was truly awful. I blame it on my new medication.
Thanks for your message.
I've had several and only for the past few months. It is an awful feeling light headed, feel like my hearts left my body😱
Went for sleep study to identify issue..don't know what results will be as I was my anxiety escalated and rarely slept..
Will find out next week how I went.
My 18 year old suffers terrible with these, he has me up all night with them. He paces up & down the hallway, thinks he's going to be sick, cries & keeps telling me to call someone for help. I've tried everything to calm him down, talking, reassuring him, blowing in a paper bag, cuddling him, trying to ground him. I now tell him to lay next to me on the bed so we can at least try to get some sleep in between these attacks. I'd be interested to see how you get on as any ideas may help. He does see a councillor weekly too.
I am really sorry to hear about your son. So young..
When I first bolted up in bed I thought I was dying so light headed and the thought of doom!!
Well hopefully my results from the test will shed some light on this.
I find that having a bad day contributes to the attack at night..
Thank you for sharing and hope he recovers well..
You could have wrote this about me! I’m exactly the same. Within minutes of waking in the night I get a tingly feeling all over my body, I pace the room and landing, cry and call for help, I’ve even called for an ambulance a few times. Feels like I’m having an out of body experience and can’t breathe! Doctor prescribed with me diazepam. Doesn’t stop it happening but calms me down. I have no idea what triggers mine. I’m wondering if I’m having a bad dream which is what causes me to wake up then panic. Hope they stop for you all soon
