Hello I have a very awful problem with insomnia and sleep phobia the last few weeks,I saw something awful on YouTube about a guy claiming he had fatal insomnia after a course of antibiotics and it scared me to death and now I'm scared I'll lose.my ability to sleep like him and die.
I know it sounds crazy and everyone around me is starting to get fed up with my crazy fears but I feel so traumatised by that ,I wish it's not real and just some scaremongering but anyway, does anyone here who has suffered with psychological insomnia have any tips on how they overcame it?
All I think about is that story and how it might be the best person who suffers that.
TIA

If the person who made the video had died how could he have made the video, iv never heard of anyone having that condition and if its true why should you be the one it would happen too? millions of people take anti biotics and dont die. i understand how you feel as i used to have fears and phobias when i was younger. i was scared to go to the dentist incase my brain got frozen with the stuff they freeze your gums with. any kind of thing like that scared me. i was scared to have to be put to sleep for an operation incase i never woke up. infact i was scared to go to sleep at night incase i died, i had to be in control of everything. stop thinking about that video and when it come into your head just start to think of something nice, eventually you will forget about it all. dont keep talking about it to people as your just keeping it alive. its like picking a scab if you keep picking it then it wont heal, have faith in life. i know its hard but you have to try,. wishing you all the very best, your hear for a reason and its not that one, love grace. xoxo
