Hello everyone, just wondering if any one has any headache hacks!
I have Sjogren's and Scleroderma, so I'm not sure which is the culprit, but wondering if anyone else gets regular headaches and migraines...
I've had them throughout adult life, and used to put them down to hormones, but now I'm kind of post menopause, I definitely think they're autoimmune related.
They seem to start in my shoulders and neck, then spread up to my head, especially base of the skull at the back, then often involves the jaw, temples, around the ears, and up to above eyes etc.
They can last a couple of days, then there's a gap of about a week or so, and another one shows up. Sometimes they make me feel sick, but less so than when i was younger.
I can't take Ibuprofen because of reflux, so I just use paracetamol which isn't very effective.
Wondering if anyone has any other ways to treat them. So far I've tried Tiger Balm (white) which helps a little, especially on the neck and shoulders, and those cool and soothe cold strip things which I put on my head and shoulders.
I do a regular pilates class to work on my posture, which isn't create - probably due to working at a desk all my life. And I drink loads of water and don't have caffeine, because of reflux. I also get sore shoulders, elbows, small joints.
I also noted the thread about jaw pain, which I get, and also i get sore/very sensitive teeth, despite regular check ups. All the usuals, too - dry mouth, dry eyes, reflux etc.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
