Just lost another filling!!!! I really do not like going to the dentist. My jaw does not open as wide as it used to and it gets sore. I have a worry that my teeth will eventually alll fall out😣😫

Hi there, I hear your concern and have the same worry...but have committed to myself to go to the dentist regularly every 3 months to get a clean and check and hopefully avoid any loss of teeth. Spice has put my mind at rest with her input which has been comforting.

My teeth broke and were dragged out despite almost living with the dentist. Dentures drive me crazy. Avoid if possible.

Hi there

Sorry about the teeth. I've just spent the last 18 months getting all my teeth one by one attended to ($$!!). All my fillings in my 65 year month redone. (Any further delay was going to produce a few more crowns). I'm worried about tooth decay and perhaps dentures. I considered dentures as a permanent option but thought my mouth would not accept them. My dentist suggests a 3 - 6 monthly check up and clean, rubbing in a product called GC Tooth Mousse Plus on my teeth each night (I've been slack with this), giving up sugar, sipping water continuously, good teeth hygiene - I clean after any food. If I take good care my dentist says these teeth and filling may last 10 years. Not every one can afford to have their fillings replaced. Good luck

I am on the Tooth Mousse Plus. I have trays made. Made out of a silicon like material . You line with Mousse and snap into place. They use the trays also for teeth whitening. Took a while to kick in ,but has made a difference. I buy the Mousse in bulk at cost price.

What affect does the moose have?

My dental bills are astronomical. The dentist said he has never seen a mouth so dry. I got recommendation of extraction and "all on 4 " implants. I get erosion on the filling material in 6 months! Last visit he told me I only needed a few fillings and asked if I was doing anything different. (I had to use an interim dentist when my regular was sick and that's who gave me the trays) Spots that would have needed fillings had calcified over. The mousse cost me $250 for about 6 months. The trays I paid more for than I expected. They are used for tooth whitening. There was a study done at Sydney University. Have not cracked the system of finding a dentist. Was googling "white coat dental" until it had restrictions .

Hi Space99

I know the product Tooth Mousse Plus but I don't know the tray application. I am not regular with the Tooth Mousse Plus becasue of the coat it puts on my tougue before bed. I'm wondering if the tray application could make me more regular with the application. Could you fill me in a little then I could mention it to my my dentist when I see him next month. I'd like some of my spots to calcify over! Thats a good recommendation for the product tray or no trays.

cheers

You know how the dentist does a regular impression of your mouth and makes a plaster set of choppers. Imagine pouring a plastic/ silicon type resin over and then remove and trim. The cost was more than I expected...$3-400. I wet then apply the Mousse and put on before going to bed. The trays are used for whitening so I think they up the price! Financially I am better off. I started with rubbing the Mousse along the gum line at night and the Hygeinist said there was improvement . But the trays are more beneficial if you can stand the nuisance value. See if I can find the study. Next time I will get more than one pair.
