Please I'm 20 and I have sickle cell ameneria disease, my problem is my eyes are very yellow please I need a solution I'm always shy to talk to people because of my yellow eyes...

We all have that, I just deal with it nothing you can do. I just got a letter in the mail from the hospital today regarding my test results.

Well sorry about that however put it in consideration to always take plenty if drinks especially water .it can help you minimize on how much yellow is other wise you can't have it cleared away

Drinking lots of water helps to reduce the color. My daughter is SS and I'm Sickle Beta Thalassemia Plus. She has yellowing of the eyes often, but its an indication that she needs more fluids.

It’s very common in sickle cell and caused by the quick break down of red blood cells (life of red cell about 3 days compared to 120 days in someone with sickle cell) leading to an increased bilirubin. Bilirubin makes your eyes yellow.

There are medicines to reduce the rate of red cell death but they come with their own risks and difficulties so not worth it unless you have severe symptoms or complications.
