Can anyone tell me about topotecan experiences

I am about to start a course of topotecan as third line for ovarian cancer, having previously tried carbo/paclitaxol, followed by Caelyx which I felt was helping but was deemed to have failed. Has anyone had topotecan and how did it go? I’m to have five days i.v followed by two weeks off, initially for three months.

I start Monday. This will be my 3rd time for chemo. I’m also in a clinical trial where I get another immunology drug along with it. It’s randomized so I won’t know if I am receiving the drug or placebo. Good luck to you.

Hello Coopersmom5. I had my first 5 day course last week with no appreciable side effects and am now on a 2 week break before the next one. I see may be given an immunology drug too. I hope it goes well for you.I seem to have started two threads on this subject - I can’t get the hang of this website!
