HI I HAVE SAGE 3 OVARIAN CANCER AND AM EXPERIENCING BAD SIDE EFFECTS. THEY LAST FOR ABOUT A WEEK AFTER INJECTION. I TAKE A GENERIC CLAIRITIN (WAL-TRIN NO DOSE) AND IT DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL.

Straight claritin no letters after it

Claritin helped me a little as well. Pain did not go away completely for me though.

Hi, sorry I’m just seeing this!

I used Claritin D along with 3 Advil. I used 1 24 hour Claritin in the AM, and Advil (I used 3) every 6 hours.

It did help, but honestly it takes about a week to feel significantly better.

I’m sorry you’re having to go through this.

Cancer sucks! #fucancer, that’s my motto!

Where are you at in your treatment? I ended up having 9 treatments total ( 🤞 so far ) and have been NED for about 2 1/2 years, but recently my CA125 has started to rise. Yay me 🙄

I had PPC Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma stage 3III. High grade. It’s treated just like Ovarian Cancer.

There are a lot of kind people on this site if you ever need to chat or rant. 🙂

Jules

What was your diagnosis?

Hi Jules. I’m also 2 years NED from PPC. Get CA125 every three months when port gets flushed. So far so good but this disease is so persnickety. Keep us posted how you’re doing.

Nuelasta just makes your bones hurt. I felt like a 90 year old lady trying to climb 8 stairs. I just ached. I like the idea of taking the Claritin early. That might really help. Let us know how you’re managing!

Hi. I had stage IIIC ovca two years ago and had Neulasta during chemo. My team suggested Claritin NAME BRAND, and Aleve protocol starting before chemo day. I had IV and IP chemo on consecutive days, and found starting the protocol two days before my IV chemo helped. It was still not 100%, but it alleviated some pain. I also had 5mg (could go up to 10mg) Vicodin for IP chemo and even that wouldn’t necessarily kill all my pain. What worked the best? Medical cannabis which was prescribed through another oncologist. Not sure if that’s an option where you live. If not, I’d give CBD oil a try, too. Best wishes during such a challenging time!
