PERMANENT SUTURES / abdominal pain

HI ALL! So just saw my oncologist yesterday, I suffer from severe abdominal pain / back pain since the day of my surgery in 2015/2016. After FOUR years he tells me the finger size thing poking out of my belly is permanent sutures (I was there to see if it’s a hernia which I also have but lower by my belly button). Do any of you who’ve had an open laporatomy have permanent sutures? Issues from them? When I say I suffer it’s everyday trying to move my poor colon around so I can sit up, breath. I think it’s wrapped around these sutures. They are above my belly button feels like a finger poking out. I think they go all the way down to my pelvis still have to follow up.

Yes, I had severe abdominal pain, but my hysterectomy was mid-line instead of laparoscopic. I was referred by my oncologist to a surgeon who performed an incisional repair to 7 hernias about a year later. So I have implanted mesh behind that big scar, but the pain went away after healing.

I think you need to get another opinion about your incision. Try to get in with an abdominal surgeon to see if you can get relief and possibly a repair. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Let me me know what you decide.

Some times I move and it feels like something pulls, but no real issues. You might want to see a general surgeon see if can fix
