Hi, everyone, good news I reached my 5 yr mark. I do have something else going on, swelling around glands in face and neck. The Drs don't think it's cancer, but it is effecting my ears putting pressure on my head. I see a specialist soon. They think could be thyroid issue. Always something. I don't like this because I look like a chipmunk. Oh happy day, oh happy day. Best wishes. Everyone❤❤Liz

Happy days!
Amazing news! Today is a day to celebrate, and long may it continue.
Well wishes Liz. You're in my prayers.
Excellent news!! Congratulations and thank you for sharing it with us. Whatever is going on with the glands, you’ll kick it’s a** too, no doubt!
Congrats, Liz! So happy to hear your good news. You will get current issues resolved and continue your journey forward! I look forward to that mark. I am two years, but so grateful to be here!
Congratulations on your milestone! The five year mark is definitely something to celebrate! I feel you on the it’s always something, I hope they figure out what’s wrong. Have you seen an ENT? I have an enlarged thyroid that was causing similar issues. Sound uncomfortable. Best of luck keep us updated. 🤗
Yes I've seen an ENT Dr, thyroid came back no cancer, but they are running more labs. Hopefully will have more answers soon.
I had swelling in my whole upper left side last summer when I was in OT and PT at TIRR for chemo related issues. One of the OT's used kinesio tape and made an octopus. It helped to drain the area.
Contributions on your 5 yr Cancerversery!
Often times when someone has a diagnosis of cancer others assume that they get a pass from all the other things that can happen in life. But Gilda Radner said it best:
"It's like my father always said to me, he said to me, he said, Roseanna Roseanadana, it's always something. If it isn't one thing--it's another! It's always something."
Best wishes to you and may you find what is causing the swelling. - Gwen
Hi Liz
How wonderful to read your post and hear this positive news! You’ve done so so well and as another stage 3 clear cell lady I’m very happy to hear you’ve reached such a important milestone!
I hope your other issue is nothing to worry about in the end, I too felt a lump between my ear and jaw at the time of my diagnosis but it was nothing, just a lymph node but not misbehaving thankfully 😅
Keep smiling and I hope your remission last forever, thanks so much for sharing,
Liz Xx 💖
Thank you I've had swelling 3 months now
Waiting for Drs to figure it out and say something. All I know is presdur is causing vertigo due to swelling near ears.
