Good Morning. My wife and I have been battling Ovarian cancer for three long years. I was excited to learn of this site for support. She was diagnosed with stage 3 OC and immediately had major surgery and less than 2 weeks later started chemo. It is now year 3 years later. She has fought hard and has brought her CA125 numbers down from 1200 to 14. It has been an up and down fight but we are keeping the faith. We stopped infusion chemo at Thanksgiving and started Rubraca. It has been two months with no phone calls from the doctors office asking us to go get a scan:) We hope that this drug will be the one to knock this disease into submission once and for all.

Finfan, Welcome to the forum. 😊 This is a remarkable group of compassionate people fighting OC. Your comments make me ask why chemo was stopped? And what is the measure and at what intervals will your beloved wife be tested for Rubraca efficacy? Contact your wife's oncologist and get answers to these questions. My experience with this disease has shown me I have to actively and sometimes aggressively advocate for myself. Do not wait for answers, pursue them. I wish you all the energy you'll need in your ongoing advocacy for your wife's healthcare.❤

Finfan, I'm glad that you found this site. As your story unfolds I'm sure you will find comfort in knowing that there are others of us who have walked similar paths. As questions arise, don't hesitate to post them. Best wishes to you both. - Gwen
