Has anybody experienced shortness of breath while on chemo. I usually do pretty good doing the day but when I lie down I get a small amount of shortness of breath. I have been on 8 different chemos but God is able. Thank you for your answers. Belsie.

Hello Belsi: I have experienced the same thing. I found it was due to anxiety with me. So I close my eyes and take deep breaths. Now I will say a few wks ago I developed shortness of breath and felt light headed and felt like I was going to faint. I also had pain in my left back area. They are treating me for a blood clot. But this is rare. So I hope things go well with you!!

Gay57, what were the symptoms specifically leading to blood clot. Been hearing more about this the last week or two and interested to hear. thanks and hope they treat your clot and you are on the mend. Best, Anne

Hi Belsie- I also had shortness of breath when my hemoglobin was low. this is normal because the red blood cells carry the oxygen. It will pass after you finish chemo and heal or if they give you a blood transfusion. Stay in touch and good luck!!

Hi Belsie-I, too have experienced this. For me it has lasted 6 days after treatment. It does get a bit better. It is scary though. Hang in there! Sending hugs and prayers you way
