hi Tolife,
Best thing I’ve found is “Wise-Men Frankincense and Myrrh” balm from Amazon. It’s completely natural and works really well. Melts to almost a liquid and absorbs easily when applied. I use it liberally on feet at night. The balm will stimulate nerves and help relieve pain. Nice to “feel” your feet again without the intense burn!
I also have a terrific acupuncturist who helps with side effects such as edema, nerve damage, nausea and more.
Hope that helps!!! Hugs to you 💕
I use Amitriptyline. It doesn’t reduce the numbness entirely but it’s not painful and it’s gradually improving so I’m happy about that.
I take L-Glutamine 2 scoops twice a day it's an amino acid and recommended by my doc. It has kept the tingling to my toes and it hasn't spread despite 2 years of various IV chemo. I don't take it quite as regularly now, got lazy. It says it is flavorless but that is not true so I add Mio drink flavoring to it. I got it online from GMC.
I have the same problem and it is worse starting about 7 PM each night. I have tried three things. I started wearing medical hose at night. This has helped the most. My husband bought a machine for me that has boots that vibrate and have heat. Using this, I can stay seated to watch television. Otherwise, I have to keep moving. And, I have a tricycle (three wheels) that is easy to ride; I can no longer ride a regular bike. This provides some exercise. I still have the problem but these three solutions provide some relief.
Hello.. I have neuropathy also ...I am on 900MGs of Gabapentin which helps. If I miss a dose I am not as comfortable so yes, try that med based on oncologist recommendation.
