Moms on day 6 since treatment. She feels very wiped out and cold . On average do you know what day you started feeling better ? Or any tips? She’s drinking her fluids. She’s done with her steroids and she’s not nauseous .
Thanks ❤️

I have been on Enhertu for a little over a year. I used to have tired and flu like days from day 3 through about day 13. Not all days were equally bad. It would ramp up through day 8 or 9 and then make its way back to kind of normal. At my last Onc visit, she prescribed Olanzapine, otherwise know as Zyprexa. Believe it or not, it is a drug normally prescribed for people with bi-polar, but at a much higher dose. She told me to take 2.5 mg before bed. The first time I took it, I slept for 14 hours, but felt pretty good. This is my second cycle using Olanzapine to help with side effects, and I have to say it is amazing. I have not taken any anti-nausea medication for the last two cycles and I definitely have more energy. I only take it the night of day 2 after Enhertu through Day 13. I always sleep great on the nights I take it. I am sure I could take it every night, however, I am a less is more person when it comes to medication. So I prefer to only take what is necessary for me to have a better then tolerable quality of life. I wish your mom the best and I hope you know she is lucky to have you.
Thank you so much❤️. Today is day 7 she feels pretty good in the mornings . She gets very tired in the afternoons. She woke up drenched last night. But so far I can’t say for her it’s been awful or anything . Just very very fatigue and wiped out. She said she almost felt like her blood pressure was low. I’m going over today to help her around the house. Thanks for all the tips and info. It’s it really appreciated so much❤️
I have been on enhertu for 11 months. I’ve done well. This last treatment has been more difficult, for about seven days I have experienced nausea. I hesitate to take a prescription drug. I spoke to my naturopath yesterday who said it was perfectly OK to take 2.5 mg olanzapine at night after infusion, for as long as I needed it. The NP in my oncology office prescribed this medication two months ago. Just reading your experience has been has been so helpful to me! I will use olanzapine after my next infusion. I haven’t looked at this website for several years and I’m grateful that I just opened it this morning! Maybe some things are adjust meant to be!
My advice would be:Continue drinking water to flush out the toxins. Don't overdo it... rest is best.Check temperature if she's feeling cold. Low temp can indicate infection.
However, it does sound like she's on her way back. Everyone is different but I'd say from my experience day 10 is the average.
Originally I only had about 3 bad days after the pre-meds wore off My last two treatments I still was very sleepy almost a full week after treatment.I have had over a year of Enhertu so far and my cancer has remained stable to somewhat improved.Very happy with it👍
I don’t know if anyone will see this. But did you have any bone pain from Enhertu? She does have it in her bones. And just had radiation on one side. Now she’s in really bad pain on the other side I believe. All her labs were good today after treatment being last Thursday . Any thoughts. I’m sorry for all the questions lately. I’m just a litttle overwhelmed right now. Thanks so much
