Mom doing great with Faslodex with trial med

Happy Friday everyone! My Mom had her second Faslodex injections yesterday and has almost no soreness at site. Yay! She is also very energetic and feels well. She’s thinks maybe the treatment is making her even more energetic than usual (she’s very active and a young 77yrs) lol 😆 She’s involved in a trial here in Canada as well. She has minimal almost undetectable mets in bones and one liver met. Hoping this treatment works well for a long time and ideally shrink it. I’m so happy for her as she’s my best friend. Great news ! I have been on faslodex about 44 months and I could tell by the third appt of shots it was working (as cancer enlarged nodes were shrinking that had been pressing on my larynx). I have not had issues with the injection sites, either. Hope your mom does well on this medication for years to come - it's a miracle medicine for many of us !

thank you Aprilfoolz1!! It’s great to hear of your success on this treatment. My Mom’s liver function is normal but they saw the progression in the liver in her recent scan in May. The biopsy confirmed the Ibrance and letrozole were no longer working so here we are on Faslodex. Changes from a treatment that worked for over two years was tough but we are optimistic this will work even better. God bless

it didn’t work with my mom and she passed away after the second injection of ffaslodex unfortunately she had bone metastasis, I think it should be taken with other medications .
