I have missed you all. I do read your posts. I am feeling better and tolerating Abraxane! I am now on my fifth cycle. I have some tummy issues (trust me you don’t want to know the details lol!) but I am dealing with it. I do experience neuropathy pain in feet and fingers. If it gets worse we are thinking of changing my cycle to 2 weeks on 1 week off etc. but for now, I am holding on 🎢😜! I pray all is well with you guys. Until next time….

It is great to hear you are feeling better. Neuropathy is a worry. I am on another chemo, however no neuropathy. I did go to a lower dose which helped greatly with other side effects and I do a 2 week on 1 week off schedule which feels just right. Best wishes to you and I hope you do well if they change the dose.

Lovely to hear from you-sounds like you are doing well. My oncologist has suggested reflexology for my neuropathy, and after that acupuncture (in my week off). I also wear compression socks like those recommended for diabetics, with some thicker socks on top as my toes always feel cold! Hope you continue to do well.

Are you still doing well on afinitor and exemestane? Have you had your bloodwork done since lowering the dose, meaning it is still effective at 5mg?

Unfortunately I had progression in the lungs after 6 months and am now on Paclitaxel IV chemo. I feel better now- my lungs have improved (I was very breathless and had fluid on the lung) and had high glucose levels which meant I had to take metformin, which caused me to lose my appetite and food tasted off. The only good thing was that I lost all the Ibrance weight I had put on. I am finding Pax very manageable on the whole. x

Thank you so much for letting me know. There are so many here that go off of it for many reasons. My blood pressure has gone up a lot. Worried about all these issues. Blessings

Happy to hear you are tolerating Abraxane - I have just finished my6th dose.

How is your appetite I keep losing 2-5 pounds per? and the tummy issues are real! I feel your pain sometimes literally lol.

The neuropathy is also a struggle, I recently added Nervive it says it takes 14 days to make a real difference 🤞 I will keep you posted.

I liked the socks idea - I am going to order a pair and see. Y oncologist says magnesium oil topical is a placebo so I am looking for more info on that.

Good luck to you stay positive, I think that’s more than half the battle 💜

Hugs

I'm happy to hear you are doing okay on this medication. I hope they can lower your dosage to help with the neuropathy and stomach issues and that the medication will still be effective. Please keep us updated. In the meantime, sending you hugs and prayers.

I get what you’re saying about the tummy issues. I’m on piqray and you don’t want to know my issues either. Suffice it to say, I’m starting to think I’d better start wearing nappy’s or not letting off any wind!!!!! 😜

It’s pretty bad actually. I’ve lost nearly 10 kilos in 3 months. I certainly can afford to loose it, but it’s not a great thing all in all.

But good to hear you are (Mostly) doing well.

it’s great to hear from you and that you’re doing better again.m! Do be careful with that neuropathy though. Aside from the discomfort of it, as it gets worse it does increase your chances of tripping /falling by the loss of your sensory connection to earth.

Might they lower the dose a bit? It might help your tum issues as well. Wishing you well!

Great suggestions. My doctor suggested 2 weeks on 1 week break to help with neuropathy. We shall see.

I start Abraxane this Friday. Do you do icing of hands and feet? How is it done? Do I need to bring anything? Be prepared for anything? Thanks for your help!

So glad to hear you’re doing well! Melinda

I ice my feet and hands at home right after treatment. My treatment is 30 minutes and I am done. The ice still helps. I get acupuncture one a week. Hope helps! Be strong
