FingernailsFalling Out
No, but mine are so thin and breaking constantly. I’ve always had very strong nails. It’s frustrating to be sure.
My pinky toe nails still haven't grown back after capecitabine. The cuticle serum from onsen secret helps me a lot.
capecitabine left me with the permanent hand and feet syndrome, totally numb feet, sudden redness and swelling of both feet and hands. Nails: within a very short time capecitabine damages nail beds; turned my hard nails into very weak ones breaking both horizontally and vertically. All of this still happening 3 years post treatment. My extremely good podiatrist says that there is a very large percentage of cancer patients who do not recover from the effect of this type of toxicity and that low figures (re. permanent damage) shown in research is far too low. Nothing really works, so many diets, exercises and supplements recommended but nothing really works, or rather, some people say yes x helped me but others say not at all.
hi Sunshire4me, yes all my fingernails grew back and look great. Toenails, not all but I usually wear socks and shoes, vs sandals anyway.
