Has anyone had trouble swallowing. I seem to have this problem now. It really seems one thing after another. I went to have an esophagus study but couldn’t go through it because of gagging so now back to gastric dr.

Can’t wait to spring
I’m having a little trouble, myself. Even swallowing water. I use a straw to make it easier for me. I guess on to my gastrointestinal doctor again, as well. I’m sorry I don’t have anything else to offer you. 🙏🏻
I pray you will find peace and knowledge soon!! We always seem to be having these idiosyncratic issues.

A swallowing study can be done by an Occupational Therapist. Also have you had scans that show something pressing on your throat, could be an enlarged lymph node as I have read on here about losing the ability to speak d/t lymph nodes encroaching on the vocal cords. Hope you get some attention soon.
I have problems swallowing my Potassium pills they tend to make me gag. I also have problems with capsules sometimes. Food and water doesn't bother me.
I've had swallowing problems since before I had cancer. Gargling helps a lot. When you garle, it activates the vagus nerve in th back of the throat and helps the brain remember how to swallow.
Greetings Sister/Warrior😇 My dad, because of his age was having trouble swallowing. I looked up some swallowing throat exercises to strengthen his throat muscles. Google, or go on YouTube, and get the okay from your Doctor 🙏😇
