So happy I’m able to enjoy putting my tree etc up for Christmas. Could not wait.

Last year I was diagnosed with MBC Nov 2020. Did not understand much about the disease at the time and when I put my tree away was a bit sad. So this year ( as usual it’s all happening early 1st Nov) and I am so grateful and happy I’ve sung Christmas Carols all day lol.

Hope you like the pictures. Im doing ok and no scan until next Feb as my cancer was shrinking after 6 month on Ibrance so Christmas first.

Thankyou to everyone on this forum who really have helped me understand MBC .

That's wonderful!! I was diagnosed in Feb 2016 and my first thought was that we'd have to celebrate my daughter's birthday (June) and Christmas early. Each milestone I'm here for raises my spirits.

Yes , I always put my tree up Nov 1st as I love Christmas so much want it all year round really lol. This year will be extra special as I started Ibrance 22nd Dec last year and wasn’t sure how I would be etc coupled with Covid being so bad in UK , so this year Celebrations will be better.I think milestones are important as is every single day.

I hope I enjoy as many milestones as yourself. 😍xxx

Good luck with the scan Sandra, rooting for you. Yes I love the Christmas movies too. I was on holiday a few years ago in Niagara on the Lake at Easter and they were making The “Christmas Calendar “ movie for Netflix, it’s good if you haven’t seen it yet. I was so excited but they didn’t need any extras lol. They had artificial snow and it actually started snowing which was funny as the real snow was so much whiter lol. I love nutcrackers too. I also have just enrolled on an online course with the WEA on Christmas traditions on Zoom x 5 weeks as I’ve gone part time at work so all the better. My husband loves Christmas too so all the better. Just found out he has booked for us to renew our wedding vows with piper etc on 22nd Dec , wow even more excited. We are going to Gretna Green, we got married there. Take Care

Thank you Debbie, loved reading that, all best wishes to you for many more Christmasses. 🎄Recently diagnosed myself and not reacting that well to the chemo, but I am praying this one will be the first of many for MBC me, too. But who knows. All your stories do give me hope! 💕

How lovely. I'm looking for forward to Christmas too, going to stay with my man on North Uist for a month. He says there's a tree in the loft somewhere but I've made a Christmas and Hogmanay cake to put in the suitcase. So it will be one of my makedo and creative Christmases I expect! My oncologist gave me three months pills to tide me over and the scans will be February. Although they want to start the bone treatment immediately. Last year we decorated our gardens and made a trail for the children. I may put some porch lights up and leave on the timer!

Good Luck with your scans . I also watch Christmas shows already. My husband is a bit of a scrounge . So I have to watch them when he is not around. He feels Christmas is to commercialized ( but in all honesty he is just a titewod). Hates spending money !! So we are a good pair he keeps me from going over board.

Lovely tree and great news about your scan! So happy you are doing well on Ibrance I was diagnosed last October and we relocated to Florida shortly after, not sure what the future would hold. I am on Ibrance as well. I, too, put up a tree last year but it was very emotional when I put all of the special ornaments on as I hoping it would not be my last Christmas. This year both of my children will be here to celebrate Christmas with us and the time will be a bit more joyful as my last scan was good, too, and I do not have another one until February. I plan to play some Christmas music while I put up my tree, enjoy this Christmas with family and celebrate the coming year, whatever it might hold. Hugs to you.

Where in Florida? What cancer center is near you?

I am in Naples and go to the Florida Cancer Center. They have several facilities in Florida and collaborate with a clinical research organization so they have clinical studies available for their patients.

Yay keep the festive spirit going for as long as possible. My tree goes up the first weekend in December. Actually I have 4 trees so it takes me ages. I also love Christmas movies and Christmas books by Trisha Ashley. Her lates arrived in the post today - can’t wait to read it.

Good luck with the scans

Beautiful tree. It is very good to hear that your cancer is shrinking. Have a very happy and merry Christmas. Hugs Marlene

Hi Sandra it must be magical at yours at Christmas, especially with the snow. I would love to see your Nutcracker display if you manage a photo. Some of the books are linked but in a vague way so you don’t need to read in order. I would suggest reading Twelve Days Of Christmas. It is my absolute favourite book. A taste of some unusual English characters and recipes, with a happy ended. What’s not to love!! My other regular read is Winter Solstice by Rosamunde Pilcher. I hope you enjoy.

🤞 for stable results for you

That’s a beautiful tree and I can understand the sad memories as it happened to me that way too. Enjoy your tree and good scans!! God bless You! Susie

So glad you are still able to get out on the bike, and do that distance. I know it helps. The weather here has been so wet and windy I couldn’t be bothered to cycle.. I haven’t even been able to go for a decent walk, and I am feeling the consequences in my mood and health. You getting out in those temperatures has given me the push I needed, thanks Sandra. I will don my wet weather gear and get out tomorrow - unless of course I can’t put my book down 🤷‍♀️. Let me know if you like 12 daysClare

Greetings:Sister/Warrior First , and foremost I am thanking GOD for your great scan news😇. What a lovely tree. I haven't put up a tree in 10 years, but I have beautiful red white, green, gold, and silver decorations for my tables, chair covers, rugs, window & bathroom curtains. I will also decorate my windows with Christmas lights :) . I will purchase this beautiful, small wood scroll cut out 3 dimensional tree, and put tiny decorations on it.😇 Thank you for motivating me to get started on my decoration journey.😇 Have a great GOD filled weekend. GOD is the reason for this season XoXo
