Hi ladies, it has been a long while I've posted. My wife has gone through a long and difficult time. She is now on her 10th line of treatment (will start Enhertu in a month), She is now 8 months without walking due to an important advance of tumor in the bones and she did a profilatic cirurgy in both femurs to prevent from breaking.
Despite everything, she is strong mentally and trying to start some phisioterapy to return walking. She is taking 30 mg morfine everyday for the last 8 months.
Well, my post is to try to understand the behaviour of Enhertu with you that are taking it.
How log did it worked (or is working)?
Did you had pneumonitis? If so, could you return to the medication?
Thank you so much. Raquel is sending kisses to everybody, this group has helped us a lot in the last 5 years!

hello Evbr , I’m sorry it sounds like things have been tough for your wife lately - wishing her strength and success in her next phase of treatment! Enhertu has been effective and tolerable for many people. Unfortunately I n my case after only 2 Enhertu infusions I developed pneumonotis, and because it was classified as Grade 2 (symptomatic via a persistent dry cough) based on the treatment guidelines we had to discontinue it immediately and permanently. I will now be switching to Trodelvy which is a similar drug (one of the new “antibody drug conjugates” which outperform traditional chemo) but doesn’t have the lung risk.
HiI've been stage iv since diagnosis in 2019. Several recurrences and many treatments since.
I've now been on Enhertu for 8 months. For the first 2 months I had terrible nausea so the oncologist cut the dose to half. After that I found it very manageable. Hardly any side effects.
Wishing your wife all the best for her continued cancer journey. She certainly has been through the mill.
I just read the nature science article said the trial for phase 1 PCR-T cancer treatment is promising to solid tumor now going to phase 2 trial unlike Cart-T therapy hopying in the near future can benefit soild tumor
