Positiv result of cooling cap dependence on "the chemo drug"?

My friend is on Enhertu and she took the last two cycles cooling caps, the version with freezer. The result wasn't so good. Now she heard, that the reason for this could be the typ of chemo drug.

Knows someone of you something about this?

Or have somebody an idea if this could be possible?

I'm looking forward your answers :)

Hello. It is totally depends on type of Chemo. Although your friend is not doing the Paxman type cooling cap the results would likely be similar. On their site , you can enter parameters for treatment type and it gives you stats. For ex taxol was about 75% chance of keeping 75% of hair ( I am going from memory, you would have to check). Other treatments show 20% success (so would it be worth the money)? Try out their predictive tool

Greetings! My wife was on Enhertu for the first six months of 2023 and she was part of a trial paid for by the cooling cap company specifically to test how their product worked with Enhertu. While it was helpful for some women, my wife lost nearly all her hair within the first three weeks. For what it’s worth, she tolerated the cooling cap just fine, though some patients have a lot of trouble with that aspect as well…

Good luck to you and your friend,

Dave
