Looking for Info on Verzenio ..Ibrance is off The Table!
I was on Ibrance/Letrozole, failed into progression and then started Verzenio/Faslodex. Both failed me from the get go. My progression marched right along for six months…..I had no side effects on Verzenio and felt quite well. My neutrophil count bounced back up to normal on it which was also great. But it didn’t work for me. It works well for a lot of people, I hope it does for you. I was told it can cause very uncomfortable diarrhea bouts but I did not experience that. Wishing you well on it for a long time, take good care!
Hi! I spent just over two years on Ibrance/Exemestane then experienced progression and switched to Verzenio/Faslodex. That was almost three years ago. I did have diarrhea problems at the beginning but onc lowered dose to 50mg and all has been well since. Just had PET scan last month (I don't have regular scans) and old lesions were sclerotic and no new lesions. All internal organs were clear. So I'm very happy to continue to ride the Verzenio pony as long as possible. Hope you find it a tolerable, successful treatment.
I’ve been on Verzenio for 9 months. Had struggles with diarrhea for the 1st 5+ months. Now I need to take Imodium 2-3x per month. Periodic hair loss but nothing that others notice. Side effects are managable. Having scans today but so far things are clear. I take 100 mg 2x per day
I was taking 150mg 2x per day but had some pretty scary chest pains. They dropped down.
Best
I haven’t been on vernezio but isn’t that for the other cancer not estrogen positive. ? I was on letrozole and ibrance 3 years and it worked well.
I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for over a year. I’m on the lowest dose of Ibrance and 2.5 of Letrozole. I’ve had really bad days over the last year but I’m a systematic 👍. Most important. I’m Alive ! I walk and participate in everything that my family is experiencing. We travel and I miss a week or two of Ibrance but I’m living my life. We go away where ever we want and I won’t miss anything because of my diagnosis. Live your life. Don’t be afraid. Life is too short. I enjoy every opportunity I can. And I sleep when I have to and believe me I Sleep 😴 Live your life. Don’t be afraid of the drugs that will keep you alive 👍👍😘
I started on 300 mg Verzenio (150 twice a day), then 200, now on 50. I wish they started low and worked up. Had stomach cramps (worse than diarrhea, I think) on the higher doses. My oncologist basically said it works for you or it doesn't; it isn't dose dependent. Who knows?
I've been on Verzenio, Faslodex and Lupron for 5 years. It is working fabulously well for me!
I was on 150mg twice a day until recently, when my dose was decreased to 100 mg twice a day due to neutropenia. Before the dose was decreased, I had a lot of fatigue and stomach issues. I feel so much better on the lower dose! Good luck to you!
Well, after a while, when Ibrance failed, I was switched to Verzenio. I was afraid at first since a lot of people mentioned rampant diarrhea. But I did not get it. Now, after about 6 months on it, I am starting to get some diarrhea, but not too bad and not too often. I wish you the same.
