Surprise gift of hand-knit scarf and hats

After years of living with mbc, I lost my hair for the first time not quite a month ago and have been wearing hats. A package came in the mail today and I didn't recognize the name on the return address but it turned out to be my daughter's college roommate. She knit a hat and scarf in their (and my) college colors plus a multi-colored striped hat. Reading her note and thinking of her making these for me brought tears to my eyes big time! Nobody has made me something with so much meaning before and I just had to share this. Good surprises are so great!

amazon has good deals on hats! Search for cancer hair loss hats...... LLBean has warm hats. But the best hats have been two given to me by infusion room volunteers!
