Hi all - I search Kearnan's name here frequently but haven't seen anything new for a month. I keep thinking of her and wondering how she is doing. Has anyone heard?
On a different topic, I have a rough couple of weeks coming up.....CT scan Wednesday, fulvestrant injection Thursday, MRI Friday, bone scan next Monday, port flush and appointment with oncologist next Tuesday. I'm very glad they are checking everything but yikes - anxiety will be through the roof. I'm just hoping things will be stable at least, and I can forget about it all for awhile, and enjoy Christmas.

She has been on my mind a lot lately. Based on her age, what I suppose is her last name, and her mention of where she lived, I imagine it would be easy to find her if you were in the same state (please don't take that as creepy, its just an observation). I suppose if she wanted one of us to "find" her she would have shared more personal information. I am simply praying hard for her...and for all of you each and every day. I am so grateful for my husband and family on this journey and for all of you.
Thank you for your reply - I think she is on the minds of many of us right now. Your suggestion isn't creepy, but I'm not in the same country.......if I was closer, I'd see about visiting in person. I agree about the people on this site - I'm on a few sites and this is my favourite.
I reached out to her approx 9 days ago and she replied. was good to hear from her. I just used her previous post which had about 100 replies so our recent communication would be easy to miss. but my post is tucked somewhere in the thread called ' thank you and good-bye'. kearnan did answer my post and a few others jumped in as well. was very relieved to hear back from her. she is struggling but still managing at home. or was. perhaps you could start a new post and ask her how she is doing. the other note is too long now. I think of her a lot and sure you and many others do as well. a very strong and courageous woman.
thank you Carol......I think of her all the time and will reach out. I love your site name, Kokopelli. I only know what it is because a friend gave me a necklace with a kokopelli pendant, many years ago. Does it hold special meaning for you?
hopefully you are able to make contact with Kearnan. she did not answer me yesterday....but maybe you will have better luck. I certainly hope she is well enough to reach out🙏. perhaps she doesn't check the board much these days. I will continue to be optimistic that we will hear back from her.

as for my 'name'....it does hold special meaning. it is my daughters nick name.....kelly kokopelli....and signifies 'mischief, laughter, joy, dance'. she has the 'kokopelli' tattooed on her forearm and I love it. thanks for mentioning😊.
my mistake. it was 22 days ago. sorry about that....I easily lose track of time these days. kearnan is still on the board. people can reach out to her. I am amazed that she has gone through this alone, and yet with grace. 💛

You are quite the badass. My gut response if someone said that to me would be “well what other choice do I have?” Well we all have plenty of choices.
I read an article on resilience that I may have posted here. The gist was it’s not necessarily a compliment or even kind to call someone resilient because they only need to be resilient in the face of something unpleasant. Much better to acknowledge their struggle for what it is. No one actually wants to need to be resilient because no one wants bad things to happen to them. Yet here we are!
I'm sorry you have so much to deal with at the same time. That is a lot to handle. Hoping and praying for good results on your scans and that your other procedures go well. Sending hugs.
I have also been thinking a lot about Kearnan. I started a private post to her a week or so ago and then didn’t send it because I felt awkward about reaching out, not quite sure what to say. We didn’t really interact through this Board, so I thought it might seem intrusive to her personal space.
I understand how you feel. I want to reach out but don't want to be a nuisance. I think I will take the chance anyway though. Dear Kearnan can decide whether to respond.

OMG! Your treatment schedule sounds a lot like mine— stressful with a chaser of anxiety! Lol I love that you care about one of our MBC Chics! I too am sending prayers for her.
