I saw my pulmonologist on Monday, and had a great conversation with him! The CT of chest, abdomen and pelvis done earlier this month indicated some additional suspicious spots in the right upper lobe of my lungs. He read the report and looked at the film on line and compared it to the last one. He thinks it's "just" residual stuff from the radiation I had to near by lymph nodes. Before, damage to lungs has been in right lower lobe--caused by Ibrance. I told him how little I ,am sleeping and how tired I am. He noticed that I've had the same C-Pap machine for over 6 years and that alot of insurance will pay for a new one after 5 years. He also thought that I might benefit from having oxygen via the C-pap at night. He is ordering an oxygen level reading at night via the C-pap and a sleep study at the hospital if needed but he thinks getting oxygen at night might really be a big help to me. This is the most exciting health care news I've had in a long time.
Does/has anyone here gotte4n oxygen just at night while sleeping, and what difference has it made? Do you have any idea how much it costs? Not your co-pay, but the initial bill sent to insurance.

I hope the Oxygen helps. I have COPD as well and O2 has been part of life for a long time. I think it really helps you sleep better and increase energy. I am sure this will work for you. keep us upda.ted on each success.🌹
I recently got a trapped lung - right side - which collapsed as a result of radiation. Effectively lost that lung for good. I was on oxygen as my lungs filled up initially. I’m still on oxygen only at night and I too have a CPAP. I’d be curious to know what CPAP machine delivers oxygen at night. The CPAP I have is also old . There is a connector that I bought on Amazon tho that allows me to plug I. The oxygen into the Resperonics CPAP for oxygen. I’m gonna f to have to turn the oxygen machine in at some point this is ve curious to know what he puts you on ! So keep me posted. Heart hugs !!!
I have never had that. So Ibrance damaged your lung? I'm sorry to hear that and kind of scared because this month I've been on it for 6 years. I'm so happy this is looking up for you!
I was only on Ibrance for a few cycles when I began having shortness of breath, even after walking a short distance outdoors, like 25 feet! My onc knew immediately that it was from the Ibrance. Tho it's a known side effect, it is considered quite uncommon. so you are probably going to do okay after 6 years, but if you start having brething problems call your onc right away and stop taking the Ibrance....
I am so glad you had a productive conversation with your pulmonologist and are getting some help with breathing and energy issues. You have been through so much lately that you deserve some good news. Sending you hugs and prayers.
So nice to be told positive news for a change.Oxygen is often prescribed for a number of hours in a day, so overnight with the cpap should give you a boost.
That is wonderful news- sleep is such an important part of keeping our bodies going and healthy ~so hopeful that yours will greatly improve! Blessings!
Wonderful news. And doesn’t it make such a difference to how we feel just to be heard properly by our doctors! I’m so glad you got a caring one this time to really hear your concerns and find solutions. I have no experience with the machine but would believe it surely would make a big difference to how you feel . Yeah!
