I have just changed to private oncology treatment which means I can have treatment at home. However because my oncologist was adding another drug which the NHS won’t pay for I had to go to the hospital (in case I had a bad reaction). I spoke to my oncologist afewdays ago and he told me my mets in my spine and lungs had shrunk but was very evasive when I mentioned my liver. I told him since it was an increase in the size of my liver mets which meant I had to change from Ibrance to IV chemo, I was very concerned. He said he would find out for me. I have an apt scheduled with him next Wed but happened to bump into him at the hospital. He assured me that even the liver mets had shrunk, after nine weeks of treatment. So relieved and excited, I had to share 😁
