I’m managing week 1 on Cape ok, bit nausea so far but nothing too drastic.
My main issue is still the progression in sacrum which I had 3 radiotherapy sessions for in Nov 2020 and they worked well until a month ago. That’s how my original diagnosis was made for sacrum pain.
I now have pain around the anal area and numbness in buttock since Ibrance stopped working , it’s a nightmare. Worse than the chemo side effects tbh.
I have just had a telephone consultation with head of Oncology Radiologist at the large City Hospital and she is going to do a 1 session larger dose asap.
Just wondering has anyone had a 1 session palliative dose and did it help.
Definitely on that rollercoaster but getting nearer that smoother ride.
Hugs to everyone

I had one palliative dose of radiotherapy to my iliac crest and hip area last summer. It took a wee while but I have been pain free (pretty much) in that area for some time now. So it was worth it with good results.
I hope you see some improvements afterwards too. 🤞
Thanks VickiGlad you got some relief , fingers xd it helps and they just rang and will do a planning session tomorrow and treatment Friday so that’s quick.
Hi Debbie I have had 2 single treatments to sacrum area one last Nov and 1 4 weeks ago . I had some side effects . They also did the T12-L3 in this last single treatment . First time no issues this time nausea , vomiting, fatigue . Any questions feel free to ask away . I am starting to feel much better now.
I was vomiting 1/2 hour after treatment. The pain flare started about 6-7 hours after treatment and lasted a couple days but has gradually eased up . The fatigue lasted the longest , it was pretty debilitating for 2 weeks I was exhausted all day and yet would sleep for 12 hours a night . I wish I knew how many greys of radiation they gave me.
I hope you do much better we are all different , first time I was good .
