After my diagnosis, I was most focussed on the skull issue and i have had some reassuring responses to my question about that. I have not paid as much attention to the fact that I have metastatic spread in both lungs with fluid on the left. After beginning treatment my breathlessness has eased and I don't have any obvious symptoms. I would be grateful for anyone with experience of spread to the lungs regarding treatment and progress. Thank you

Hi MarsiJay. Wanted to let you know that I do have 1 lesion in my lung as well as some in bones and liver. Diagnosed in September 2021. I am on Letrozole and Ibrance and the mets in liver and lung have shrunk about 20% with no new mets as of my last scan in early May. Hope that helps. --Trish
We found my MBC when I had an effusion. I have mets everywhere including on my pleura (the lining of the lung). Still have a small effusion since November. Hasn't given me any problem but had three throcentecisis done in January and February. No one seems to worried about them.
When first diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer l had pleural effusion and myocardial effusion. I had relief of symptoms with prednisone and lbrance resolved the effusion. Wish the best. Let us now how you aredoing. What treatment are you on?
I have Mets in both lungs as well. After 11 rounds of Ibrance and letrazole, all tumors have shrunk, some to the point of being undetectable. Sometimes I feel some strange chest pains. I’ve decided to tell myself that’s the meds working and tumors shrinking, as that’s what the scans show. Good luck!!
