As with anything in life there are Advocates and Cynics... Just wondering what members on here think. Thoughts, experiences and input. I have read some very postive info recently regarding there use.. Some folks do really well with it so potentially worth a try for some Id say!πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š

hi AutumnLove.

hmmmmm. i have never heard of cannibus suppositories. not really surprised that they exist but personally have no knowledge. i do use marijuana for mbc but i smoke it....like back in my high school days....lol. seriously though, i used it mainly for nausea back during my primary BC diagnosis in 2013 including 5 months of IV chemo. it helped. with mbc, mostly using for pain but also nausea on occasion. and sometimes just to chill out.

so a suppository would just be another route of administration for the same effects? where do you get them?

bottom line....if they help (and are safe)....i would use them. 😊

good morning AutumnLove.

thanks for sharing that! i was able to open the bottom link. does sound interesting. a little out of my price range thoughπŸ˜‰!

(my only source of income since becoming immobile due to mbc is SSDI....which amounts to less than the yearly cost of ibrance😳).

do you think you will give it a try? if so, let me know how it goes. quite curious?

These folks are using a gram possibly 2grams a day which is a large amount.. But The RSO protocol definitely has it's Advocates, 1 gram per day for 90days!

kokopelli2017 profile image
kokopelli2017β€’ in reply toAutumnLove

that's a lot of cannibis! i spend $200 on one gram (good quality....and lasts me months) so 90 day supply would be approx $18,000. but heck, if it can bring you to Curative/Remission/NEAD, then worth it.

at present, i don't know enough info, so am neither an advocate or a cynic on this topic. i guess, at this point, i am skeptical. admittedly, i would need to do a lot more reading/research to have a real opinion.

thanks so much for sharing your research, your input, and for asking thought provoking questions!

Good quality RSO costs Β£45 per ML in the UK, one ML equates to about 1g plus the small amount used for Tinctures orally. That's Β£50 per day, Β£4500 to complete Ricks protocol. We have been doing it for quite a while now as we seem to be doing well. Susie is not too well this week but it could just be a blip. We certainly won't stop! The oral oil is good for pain management too.

Thank you so much for posting this video. Some of us in my other support groups do use RSO, but I've never even heard anyone mention using suppositories. I limit my use because of the THC effects, so this is huge. I am not a stage 4 thriver, but many in my groups are. And I cannot wait to go right now and pass along this video!Take care,

Hi there. I've read Rick Simpsons book "nature's answer to cancer" and we have been making and using RSO for 12 months now, both orally at 10% and with suppositories at 1 gram. We have had some very positive results so far. Susie had brain mets that have seem to be shrunk and controlled for a while, to the surprise of our Oncologist and brain surgeon. That might have come to an end this week, we are due a brain scan but still good results. It must be taken orally to cross the blood brain barrier for brain mets. Taken like this, you do get the THC high but Susie does it at bedtime and gets a good night's sleep ever night. The are lots of very clever people (check out Dr Cristina Sanchez) studying this and the endo cannabinoid system with great promise. The big road block are laws and big pharma , they can't make money so they won't trial. If it's worth a try, we will carry on doing it! Everybody called it "anecdotal" as it's not been through double blind trial..if they won't work, we must try ourselves!

Good luck all with your healing journeys.

Hello everyone. So, the RSO and CBD thing. I was dx with luminal a estr/prges+, her2 - in 2016. I had a lumpdectomy and chemo for 12 weeks and 18 consectutive days of rads. At that time I was stage 3 because of the 4 lymphnodes and then started taking anastrole only. 2019, pet can, I light up like a christmas tree with mets to my bones only. Then I was on Ibrance and fasoldex until dec 2022, where 4 stops came back from the same places in 2019 and specifically where I had extra rads in June of 2020 because of pain. Well, more damge than good. If I had rso back than and knew about it, i would have never had rads on my spine for the pain, because I believe it provoked it to return later. I stumbled across RSO. I went directly to the guy that is friends (Mike Wise/OGlabs) with Rick Simpson and bought it there, to make sure that I was getting the full spectrum. By the way tumor markers were not that bad, just above the normal markers (0-5) at around 6 and bc markers (0-40) around 50. I started the rso in January and my doc was totally supportive. I had a bit of pain in my t5 and took the rso by suppository and the next day the pain was gone and i slept the best I had in 6 years. I started using the suppositories at 1gram right away. If you listen to Corrie Yelland on the last cannabishealthradio pod cast, she states that the bioavailability is better absorbed via the rectum, going just past the spincter muscle. If you puch it up further it will go to the brain and you will get the high. However, it is 100% more effective and with cbd, it is 250% more effective. Then, I started listening to Cristina Sanchez in her latest interview stating that more cbd is better than just rso, because MAYBE it would promote cancer...not sure about that, but people were saying a 3:1 cbd/thc. So I started that too. After nearly 4 months, all my blood tests were great but tumor markers still creeping slowly. Then petscan results showed some spots gone, but a new spot and progression of a lesion on my iliac crest. Doc stated Tuesday that she was going to start me in a clinical trial. I think why not contact Cristina Sanchez, whom has been studying this for 20 years? I will be a volunteer. I live in Spain, so why not? I will see the new doc next week and will hear about this new trial. I will also show them the information from Dana Farber about starting again on Ibrance and Fasoldex and continue to use my cbd and rso daily to get the crap back. BTW, I have changed my diet too and also take turmeric with pepper and a dab of coco oil in suppostitories too. I believe that people at stage 4 with mets need more time to be on it, not just nearly 4 months and need to know the right ratio of cbd or just the gram of rso. I have researched all the sites out there and there is real no ideal ratio because everyone is different. I also wondered if my bio markers changed and the doc said no, well how do you know? They could change from + to - and maybe the her2 - could change to her2+. One would think in this day and age with cannabis that it would be a panecea for all. Would love to hear input on this. Blessing to all.

I am in NY and have a Medical Cannibus card from NY. The dispensary has pharmacists to help you select the items that best suits your problems. Research the dispensary as there is a better one in the city. Took it for a while. Fogged my thoughts. On Piqray and am in remission for my stomach and doing better in my rectum.

Best to all as we search for our answers.

Hi! I'm going to start by saying if this is the route someone wants to go DEFINITELY bye1 or 2 grams 1st. When I was 1st diagnosed I went all out with every possible thing I read on the internet JUST IN CASE it was real, and I still have both grams. Along with an inflatable hot tub, this expensive oxygen machine, $1500 in vitamins and herbals :-)

I HATE to feel high so I tried using it every which way including making my own suppositories with cocoa butter. SUPPOSEDLY when used as a suppository you don't feel the same effects. They were right... i was way more super high.

ANYWAY... I think anything is worth a try. Just do it 1 expensive gram at a time. I personally know 2 people who it did not change their scans.

Hi Autumn,A couple of months back I listened to a very interesting talk between 2 specialists in the field of using medicinal cannibus. That was online via Smith Institute who have great webinars and events.

See if you can access this recording from a recent talk by one of those same people. I haven’t listened to it yet. Email says available until May 1. This was hosted by Healing Journeys online. Another resource that also offers interesting events and supportive resources.(ok I’ll try adding link in another post, it didn’t copy.

The key take away is yes it seems it really can be extremely helpful, and sometimes healing!. However it is wise to get advice about dosing etc . Eg. Too much can work against you , type (mix of THC and other qualities, etc)

Always make sure you are buying from a suitably qualified place. Good places should have someone to help with advice.

One of the speakers runs a dept at GW aim DC. He seemed very caring and I was impressed with both of them

I don’t have any need myself but wanted to get information in case ai have needs going forward . I think it is worth looking into for sure

Unfortunately the link won’t carry over. Try reaching out to Healing Journeys to see if they will send you the link of the recording .Also I said the wrong name in my earlier post. So look up Smith Center (sign up for Connect newsletter) , maybe they have recording of theirs from a couple of months ago too.

I'm not experienced with medical cannabis except the no to low THC kind I can get at a compounding pharmacy in the city where my onc is. I've not heard of suppositories, interesting idea. Are you more knowledgeable ones saying that THC is recommended for any cannabis to help our MBC? Thoughts about cost: if legal where you live, state medicaid programs might help, also local cancer charities. Try asking the seller if reduced price is possible for cancer patient with limited resourced. Ask relatives/friends with more income to buy it for you. We never know what help is out there if we don't ask!

Hi AutumnLove,I personally believe that we have to be very careful with any of these claims of cure or remission. We are very vulnerable people and there are always, unfortunately, folks who want to take advantage of our vulnerability. If this treatment was viable, there would be all kinds of sound research and reports. The media would be reporting and our oncologists would be suggesting its use. Just my two cents.

Hello--I think both of these methods have been dissed by the knowledgeable people in the Cannabis community. Check out the FB page Fighting BC with Cannabis: facebook.com/groups/1580677... They have nurse consultants--and the do not approve of the RSO products due to toxic ingredients used in the original extractions. And I think they say no absorption via suppositories. There site has lots of SCIENTIFIC info at the top--so join and just read. Also--for those with E-pos, they do not recommend more than 25 mg per day of THC. Do your research! Best to you. LK

Went to Facebook site via the link provided, but it wasn't very informative about itself. You have to join (I hate that) so I did. Membership is pending. All I really want to find out, is there any danger to me? Who do I ask "is this safe for me? Or could it kill me? Might I be one of those rare people who could have a bad reaction / even a life threatening one?" I asked my Oncologist about would I benefit from CBD, but she couldn't answer. I'm a big chicken (bok, bok, bok. Lays an egg) when it comes to experimenting with my health. Fishing, cooking, crafts, et. no problem. But pharmaceuticals &/ herbal stuff?

No one has ever died from using cannabis or cbd. Some docs, recommend using it along with traditional treatment, as the thc and cbd enhance the effect of the medication, making it more effective. I have done my research.
