So mum had an apmt with her GP on Monday. He has her head scan results but not body CT scan. Her head scan shows 2 small lesions the same as in 2020..however we never knew of this in 2020!! Mum has tumor in her lung and lymph node but this is a first hearing about small lesions..is this def mbc? Am panicking. Full results on weds. She has had 2 years on Ibrance and leterozale now. Thabks for any input as always.

Gosh....I think it *is* metastatic? I understand that refers to cancer that has spread from the original site to "distant" areas. If your mum had/has breast cancer and it has spread to the lungs and/or the scalp (considered bone, I think) or brain, then her cancer has metastasized.
Of course, I'd ask the doctor to be sure.
But, let's imagine it is metastatic...I don't know how long you've been on this site, but one thing is clear....Metastatic disease for BC is a less grim diagnosis than one might imagine.
Many of us have been living...well...for many years and new treatments really are becoming available all the time. So if this turns out to be true for your mum, please keep this in mind.
I was diagnosed metastatic more than seven years ago and have never felt better. And I look forward to the new treatments that will extend my quality of life even further.
I do wish you the best and it warms my heart that you're looking to for your mum, she's a lucky lady!
