Hi ladies. Just wondering if anyone had there faslodex shots at the end of your ibrance cycle and end up completely wiped out. I have been completely wiped out for two days. I can’t even get off the couch. Thanks. Marianne

When I'm at the end of my Ibrance cycle I'm also exhausted especially if I get my shot then.

I have been experiencing exhaustion , weakness in legs too, when I look back on my charts for the last few months I have had my xegeva shots during the last few days of my cycle. I’m going to keep track of this, I was getting worried that maybe it had to do with Pfizer shots since it seems to have started after my booster. I have been reading up on Gillian Barr syndrome and connection to covid shots and panicking that this was happening to me. Next month when I have labs it’s at the beginning of my cycle I’m hoping I won’t have this exhaustion. I am going to consult my oncologist too. Thank goodness for this sight, when I read the comments of others I know I’m not alone.

Stay healthy,

Marianne(mimiholl)

Wow glad I read. I don’t pay attention to timing. Thought it was me being crabby overworked or overwhelmed’ I’m definitely gonna start paying attention to this thank you all

The Fulvestrant/Faslodex peaks in the body one week AFTER the injection. I always felt worse at that time, and then better the last two weeks of the month. You can find more information, and graphs of the blood level concentration at drugs.com. Look under the section for physicians. Best to you!

Omg I am replying again because I just checked back on my charts and the last 3 months I got my xegeva shot on the 25 th day of my cycle and have been experiencing weakness in legs and exhaustion. It seems to clear up and then starts up again. After the holidays I will definitely have to have a conversation with my oncologist.Stay safe, Marianne(mimiholl)

I’m so sorry to hear that. After 19 yrs, I was diagnosed with MBC in 2011. Spot on the T6 in my back. A little background. 1993 stage 2, partial mastectomy chemo/radiation then 5 yrs on tamoxifen. Then 2000 diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma no treatment slow growing but CT scans every 6 months chest abdomen pelvis continue til today. Because I have ct scans they found a lesion 2011 on the T 6. Can you imagine being thankful for a cancer that tests find MBC. ? I took letrozole and Zometa until 2018. I had an award winning onc but was ready to retire made mistake reading reports I immediately sought out a new onc . I travel 1 hr. He put me on Ibrance 125 on 3 weeks off 1. Also fosladex every 4 weeks, and infusion of Zometa every 60 days. I’m considered stable. Fosladex shots must be warmed to liquify the gel found out hard extremely painful till they warmed it. I get fosladex and Zometa together every other month. I do get exhausted weak feel all over lousy hard to explain. Maybe a few days. I do get exhausted comes On kind of quick. Other side effects too. Lately my balance is terrible I fell a few times fractured wrist, bruises. It’s imperative that you search out the best oncologist you can find. I sit next to him when he’s looking out films and reports. Keep track of all test schedules. Understand your reports. Always have copies of your films. Be in control if you don’t feel comfortable with your doctor run like he’ll do your homework it’s your life mistakes are not acceptable I’m alive today because I’m on top of the doctors question everything right now Ibrance, fosladex and Zometa is the current treatment for MBC. I do hope you’ve read this far and that it helps someone. You are not alone ❤️

I have times of being tired but not wiped out. My oncologist insists that my ibrance and faslodex shots be "timed" so that I get them on day one of each ibrance cycle. Seems to work.

Hi Marianne! I haven’t been totally wiped out like you describe but I certainly am more tired depending on where I am in my Ibrance cycle. I have been on both for a year now. Seems to be no rhyme or reason for me but I believe it may be tied to how low your counts may be when you get the shots. My neutrophils dropped this month from 1.7 to 1.1 for the first time and that seemed to make a difference in how tired I’ve been. Hang in there and talk to your Onc to see if you may be able to take a supplement, etc that could help. Merry Christmas and all the best in 2022! Lin
