Best Christmas present I could have. My MBC is stable. The liver lesions are also stable. Although Exemestane and Everolimus have not so good side effects if they are controlling everything it is a small price to pay.
Cheryl - Fabulous news !! I'd hang another "I got this" ornament on your Xmas tree. Blessings and "WOO HOOO !" xo
No worries Sandra. As long as you are ok. That’s what I care about. Take it easy lovely.Talk soon and have a good weekend also. Sending hugs 🥰😚
AMAZING news Cheryl. I am over the moon for you. You have had such a rough time if it recently, that news must make it all a bit easier.Have a great weekend
That is wonderful news Flowerfairy. And it is coming in at a wonderful time of the year. You can share your good news with your friends and family. I hope you have a really wonderful holiday season. Hugs Vienna Girl (aka Marlene)
I am so very pleased for you - stable scan results is fabulous news, especially just before Christmas.
Unfortunately I never got to try Exemestane and Everolimus. My oncologist tried to push for me to try this next rather than Eribulin but the pharmacy said it was not possible under the nhs licensing laws eg she was requesting this outside of the NICE guidelines……
I was offered E&E a while back but opted for my oral SERD clinical trial instead …..
It all feels a bit unfair to me, especially as we are struggling to find something that works on my liver mets - hey ho !!
Nevertheless I’m so pleased for you and I know you have suffered SEs.
You have had a rough ride Jo but you always seem so positive. I hope your new meds work. I think it’s hit and miss a lot of the time. Guidelines make things so difficult. I know there is plenty out there to treat your Liver Mets. My Oncologist has mentioned the options to me.
Cheryl, that’s fantastic news! I’m so happy for you. 😍 What dosage are you on? I’m also on E&E with all its side effects. Just holding my breath until Tuesday when I have my next oncology appointment to see if the meds are working. I’m currently back in quarantine waiting for a negative PCR test. 🤞
What a gift! So happy for you. I’m sorry your meds have some unpleasant side effects but mine do as well and I so agree. It’s a small price to pay. Wish you continued good health and all best for the holidays. 🙏🏻
Hurray! Nice news. Nice Christmas present. My scans were not so bad either. I had some small increases in lung nodules but no increase in the endometrium and bones all stable. So it is happy hour for me also.
So very happy for your good news! Hope the side effects will become more manageable. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with continued stable scans. Hugs
Great news ! But I hope those side effects don’t interfere too much with your holiday festivities. Who would have ever thought the word “ stable “ could be so important to us .
Hello🌻I’m glad that your meds are working. I just started them two weeks ago and I pray they work for me too. What meds were you previously on? I was on Ibrance and letrozole.
Hi, I was on Ibrance and Letrozole for 28 months. I’m really finding it hard tolerating the new drugs but my Oncologist will keep up to speed with it all. My taste buds have gone, I have ulcers and more or less constant fatigue and headaches. I hope you tolerate it well. Best wishes
I have been on it for three weeks and yes I’m feeling nauseated at time with mild headache and of course fatigue. My taste is off and I don’t have the taste I had before. No mouth sores but metallic taste in it mouth. I will have a p e t in March and we will see. I hope it works and I am glad it’s working for you❤️🌹
It really is an awful drug. Why are they produced when there’s so many side effects. I’ve lost so much weight now. Food tastes awful. My husband cooks and I love his cooking but honestly, I feel I’m insulting him my not eating. It’s put in front of me and straight away I feel sick. I see my Oncologist 14th January so will have a chat about options as I’m finding it hard to tolerate. I’m getting more headaches and nose bleeds. My temperature went to 37.8 the weekend and I know I should have called the emergency number but the thought of going into hospital right now doesn’t please me. I managed to get it down by drinking plenty of water and keeping cool. Crazy. I hope you get along with it. Best wishes.
I’ve been on it a month and I feel so bad. I had never heard of this drug and now I know why. I have this awful metallic taste in my mouth like a sour taste. Food doesn’t taste the same. I see the dr on Wednesday and I will tell him how I feel. My tumor marker went down 6 points I a month so it’s working I guess but I’m so weak and hurt a lot. I hope we can stay in there-God Bless! My playlets are 105 and never have been so low🙏🌹
That’s awesome 👏🏼 I have mine coming now and have slight pain with movement in my ribs where I was stable on last scan . Now I’m scared it spread . I have bones only but afraid it spread to lung behind ribs on left side is where I’m feeling slight discomfort. I was just switched from zometa to Xgeva wondering if that could be the cause .
