Congratulations! Perhaps itwould be useful to have a CT scan to determine whether your treatment break was helpful?

Warm wishes for your continued good health,

Cindy

Thanks Cindy. I just had a two week break. I had scans just before my surgery and my next ones are in January.

I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well after your heart surgery.! Can you tell me what symptoms you had leading to this? Also , where are you being treated? I am having some issues now that make me wonder if I have now valve issues. Also how long did it take you to recover?Bonnie

I had heart muscle damage in about 2011. It was found when I was going to have reconstruction surgery which never happen. So that is when I started having regulat checkups wit my cardiologist in Kitchener, Ontario. Then in 2017 I got congestive heart failure which is all controlled by drugs. Then 2 years ago she said I had a leaky valve. I was tired a lot but did not know if it was my cancer treatments or my heart. Then in March she said I had to have open heart surgery or a clip which a doctor in Toronto specialized in. I saw him 3 weeks ago tomorrow and he said i was a good candidate for a clip. I had it done October 28th in St Michael’s hospital in Toronto, and came home the 29th and am doing well. I see him again in a month and if everything is ok will just go back to my cardiologist in Kitchener once a year . My symptoms were tired and a bit of swelling in the ankles. Hope this is helpful. Theresa💕 let me know how you make out.

Totheriver,

My Mom had that surgery done when she was 74, and she compared it to being hit by a train! Not an easy surgery, by any means.

Glad that you are better, and ready to resume the fight!

Sincerely,

Colleen

Thanks Colleen. When I woke up that is what it felt like but that only lasted the first day.

Hi BaileyJames

I have been taking Ibrance for a few months now and in the first instance had a couple of very sore mouth ulsers. The first mouthwash I used Benzydamine didn't work at all for me so I was prescribed Nystan mouthwash which is like a milky consistency but worked like a dream. I kept the mouthwash in my mouth for about a minute it is extremely good as it cleared up the mouth ulcers really quick in a matter of days. I felt great because was able to eat properly soon after using Nystan I would recommend it to you and hope it works just as well for. Take care and best wishes.

I use what they call magic mouthwash which also works like a charm.

Very interesting, I have not heard of that one before but if it works like a charm for you keep with it girl.

Great news ! It is always such a challenge trying to figure out what causes what . Hopefully you continue to feel stronger and better each day . I live in a small rural village about 1.5 hours away from you . I hope you are getting some of the glorious fall sunshine today . We had snow last week ☹️
