I had a mascetomy 11 years ago, and recently found a tumor in my chest wall and lymph node. Anyone else treating same thing? I am on 100mg Ibrance and Fasolax injections but only for 2 months so have no idea if working. Have had mouth sores, low white counts and fatigue, but will try and give it a chance since was told surgery not possible, can't have radiation😥 just wondered what anyone has been told with same diagnosis...I was told less than a year with no treatment, and 2 to 3 with...kinda discouraged...

I also have tumours adhering to my chest wall. I had a mastectomy 4 years and a half years ago and the cancer returned in March. I had radiation and then was on the Fulvestrant injections and Kisqali but that stopped working recently and am now trying oral chemo - Xeloda (capecitabine). I have only been on it for a week. The main side effects so far are fatigue, weakness and breathlessness. 1000mg morning and 1000mg in the evening with a two week on and one week off cycle. I don’t know if it will work but I will keep posting. I have some swollen lymph nodes in and around my armpits as well. I hope the medication will slow the rate of spread. Good luck to you.
My history is very similar to yours. Breast cancer 2008 and a recurrence in 2011 resulting in a mastectomy. Large chest wall lesion found in February 2019, lymph node wrapping round my sternum and spread into the mediastinal fat, inoperable and unable to have radiation as had it before in the same area. Started on ibrance and letrozole in May 2019 and after a slow response have now been NEAD for about a year. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will continue for a long time. Side effects from ibrance settled after a few months of being on it and only suffer from a few niggles now. I hope this gives you some hope.
Hi. I’m currently in ibrance and faslodex. The side effects died down for me after cycle 2 or 3. Stick with as you can. Hang in there and God has the finally say so. Anything is possible with him. There are people who’ve been on ibrance 5 years and more. 🥰🥰🥰
I have chest wall issues too and I am on the same treatment. I'm wondering why they can't zap it with radiation!
Dear Misspositiveattitude, I am so sorry you are going through this. I had bilateral mastectomy in 2004. And in 2017 I, too, had bilateral axillary lymph nodes and lymph nodes on my chest wall. I did have chemo, radiation and lymph node resection. This was followed by Xeloda, Anestrazole, Ibrance and Laetrazole. All worked for various periods of time and then stopped working adding Mets to my lung. Since I am brca1 positive I am now on Lymparza, a PARP inhibitor, and it truly is a miracle that my cancers now seem to be resolved.I don’t know if that is a possibility for you but I urge everyone reading this, especially if you are Brca positive to discuss this option with your oncologist.
I am holding you Misspositiveattitude close in my heart.
I was told could not have a te section without removing my sternum and 3 ribs? And radiation not an option because uad it before...why not Chemo, I dont know. I will have a pet scan in December to see if the Ibrance and Fasolax is working at all, and then see what other options available if not. Thanks for the reply!!
My breast cancer spread to armpit lymph nodes and hilar lymph node. I have been on Ibrance and Letrozole for three years. Original tumor in breast resolved and no progression since. I am due CT scan next month.
I hope your current treatment is successful. It took me a while to adjust to the meds. I had a rash, mouth sores, and fatigue in the beginning but my body just had to resolve all the side effects and begin working to kill cancer cells. Mashed avacado helped heal my mouth sores. I have little side effects now…
I try to stay active as much as possible and rest when I need to and eat healthy.
Stay strong …please let us know how you’re getting along.
