spine radiation
Mine was thoracic, no big deal.
I had radiation to my T-4 vertebrae about 18 months ago. The only side effect was esophagitis. It was slightly painful to swallow for about 2 weeks, but I had some numbing medication to help. The process itself was very tolerable. I was taking Ibrance and Fulvestrant when I had the treatment.
The treatment shrunk the tumor which was wonderful. About a year later the tumor became active again.
Wow, barely seems worth it. Maybe I will stick with cannabis products! Some whole product CBDs are very helpful
I just same out (about a month ago) radiation to my spine. My onco suggested it from the beginning and I said no, until another one showed up and then she had the radiologist doctor talk to me and tell me that they were afraid it was going to move into the spinal CORD. She told me once that happens, it is too late for radiation or any type of surgery and that I will become paralyzed They sure know how to put the fear of God in me. I did it although I hated going there every day for two weeks. I was told my spinal pain would increase since the radiation inflames the spinal cord but my pain doctor, in conjunction with the rad. doctor upped my meds to 120 mg. of oxycontin a day which helped. But feeling the pain again but have an appt. tomorrow with my pain doctor and the radiologist doctor. I am just getting tired of it all.
Yes I have had. I was about 2 years ago now, and given to me for the pain. It was a sort of Capital T shape on my back. It’s hard to tell if it worked or not, cause once you’ve had it you don’t know what it would hav e been like had you not. Anyway. I’m in pain again now. 2 years on. But hey! I’m still alive and happy. Was it worth it? Probably.
