It’s this time again. My brain MRI is scheduled for Thursday, July 15. Will discuss the results with radiation oncologist on Monday, July 19. Hopefully, STRS worked and the cerebellum lesion decreased without any new ones.

I’m also concerned about my kidney function that was decreased during previous routine blood work. Hope it was due to dehydration, but it’ll be checked before MRI to ensure that it’s safe to administer the contrast.

To fight scan anxiety I went away for a few days tasting wines at Virginia wine trail, spend the last weekend playing with grandsons and planned a few activities this coming weekend.

Still, the anxiety is lurking in the back of my head. I guess it’s part of disease.

Thank you for listening to me. This forum is the only place where I feel completely comfortable sharing my fears.

It’s so good you are keeping busy. The anxiety is still their when there’s quiet moments. I have to wait two weeks before I get my results. That will be 3 weeks altogether as I had my CT scan taken a week ago. Crazy really. Like you I have kept busy. Think it’s the only thing to do at these anxious times. Oncologist tell us not to stress. That’s an understatement. I hope you get some good results. We are all in this together. Best wishes

I’ll be praying for good news . I agree about sharing your feelings on here. We all walking in the same shoes and understands those feelings . Everybody around me is so positive that sometimes they forget that fear is a part of it . Glad you got to go away .❤️

I’m sorry you are anxious about your upcoming MRI. I experienced my first brain MRI recently and was very anxious but the ladies on this board made me feel better. I’m glad you planned fun distractions ...definitely helps!

I hope your results are good. I will be thinking about you tomorrow.

You have every right to feel anxious and stressed. It’s one of those things that never really leaves your mind does it? As everyone has said, keep busy and it will soon be over and you will know one way or another how things are.I am sending lots of good news vibes to you
