Starting Vinorelbine on Thursday

Wonderful Xeloda has stopped working so well after 6 months….I’m sad to let it go! Now my doctor says we’ll start Vinorelbine next week….I think it has another name that starts with N,,,,(Navilbeane?)…I haven’t heard it mentioned on this site…has anyone been on it? Thanks in advance…

Sorry to hear that you have to change meds. I am just starting on Xeloda.. could you please tell me what dose and timings you were on? Did you vary it?

I was on it for 6 months, took 1500 morning and night (3000 per day) one week on, one week off. I weigh about 125 lbs….we never varied it….it worked well until it didn’t!

Thanks! That is the dose I started on, but I am down to 1150 x twice a day.. research is interesting on dosage. 'It works until is doesn't' seems to apply at low or high doses
