Thank you for your support. I was particularly anxious this time because of unclear wording on the bone scan I read in the patient portal. My doctor allayed my concerns during our appointment this morning.
The scan said “persistent intense uptake” in the sacrum. The sacrum is my MBC origin back in 2018. I had a hard fall on the stairs in January and hurt my ribs. This kind of uptake after a fall is not unusual. Phew!!!!
It is too hot and humid for a celebratory, mentally healing bike ride today. So, my husband and I will treat ourselves to nearby lunch with lobster bisque.
I am grateful from r your prayers and good wishes.
Always good to hear good news. And strange to hear of your hot weather down hear in Melbourne, Australia, we are in our first week of winter and there’s an icing chill blowing up from the Antarctic down here. So I’m snuggling up in bed with my second coffee catching up with you all, and thinking how lucky I am to be alive and comfortable in this moment, with little Stevie right beside me. I will raise a glass of red to you tonight.
Thanks for sharing that can happen after a nasty fall... I am anxious about my scans in 2 weeks maybe showing small fractures after I flipped over my handle bars this weekend. Good to know that it doesn’t necessarily mean progression.
Totally understand where you are coming from. It’s like we are constantly waiting for the other shoe to fall. Glad things are going well. Enjoy your celebratory meal! 😋❤️
