Daytime anxiety. Nighttime insomnia. A nightmare for cancer fighters. Hope to solve the cocktail today with my oncologist.

Oh no. I hope you get the help you need from your onc. I’m supposed to start on Exemestane 25mg next week so I’ll be curious how/if your side effects were resolved.

Having the same symptoms but didn't attribute to the exemestane. Maybe it is.

This drug and I don’t get along. I was taking it with zoladex for a few months back in 2014, with my first diagnosis. I fell into major depression, and switched to tamoxifen when I realized it was from exemestane. This time, with Mets and 8 mo of shrinkage/growth with Ibrance/Faslodex, I decided to give exemestane a chance. I haven’t slept properly since Friday, besides the hot flashes.

The plan was to combine it with Everolimus starting this week. I was afraid of this one more than the exe. I’m afraid I’ll need a new combo altogether.

I am supposed to go off anastrozole and onto exaemestane next month because of the side effects on anastrozole.. Now I am concerned that I may have made a mistake since examestane (if I am reading correctly) is more likely to cause strokes than anastrozole and I have had TIAs in the past.. Back to thinking and discussing with onc and primary.. Any insights appreciated.

I start Xeloda on Monday, which doesn't mess with hormones. I'll take all its side effects. Exemestane works for some people. I'm not one of them.

For me it was a very nasty reaction to morphine.

It's like some sort of a crack injection. I'm taking a break until Monday, and start news meds: Xeloda. Crossing toes.
