Fluvestrant side effects

Does anyone have horrific buttock pain after fluvestrant/flasodex shots? It’s not just at the injection but both buttocks. I can hardly move, sit or sleep.

I get my injections closer to the hip area to avoid potentially hitting a nerve. Sounds like your nurse is hitting the sciatic nerve and is injecting improperly. That can result in lots of pain! 😵😵

I have been getting them for three years now. Never felt pain. Easiest part for me of this whole experience. Can sit down and walk immediately. One nurse does it. Little bit of a lump that I massage when I am home and gone within a few days. Then again, I have a meaty butt so that may help:)

I’m glad you haven’t experienced pain. I’ll have to talk to person who gives injections

I found gentle cycling home from the injection.. and walking helped.

Yes, yes YES!! The pain from it going in I can handle with a few cuss words, but the fluid feels like I am being burnt with cigarettes from the inside. I've had the injections for a year now, and no matter where or how they administer it, the pain is immense and lasts for a couple of days at least.

I don't generally have pain. Have had a bit of it a couple times but I find I always have itching on the butt site for a couple days. My nurse has me hold the shots in my hand to warm them really well before she slowly injects it. I think it may have to do with whoever is administering the shot. I have a meaty butt myself but some nurses inflict less pain than others!

Thank you. I do know they warm mine up too. I’m wondering if she did hit a nerve when injecting. My tailbone hurts too but nothing shows up on scan
