Has anyone tried this Mfg. of Letrozole? I'm using the Accord brand now and having alot of side effects. Also thinking of trying the Breckingridge brand.
Any thoughts?

I get what is supplied through pharmacy. Had no idea there was any choice or difference. Have checked and mine is CIPLA x
My pharmacy dispenses Breck. I have no problems with it.
Like others here today, I had no idea there would be different brands. Just looked at mine. It is the Accord brand. I am doing really well on it (and Ibrance). I have some side effects, but they are pretty minor.
Hi , I’m on the same combination ,been taking it for 4 months so awaiting my first scans !Very frightening in case it’s not working but 🤞.
I’ve had minimal side effects so far but have noticed they are increasing slightly the longer I’m on it .
I can live without as long as it’s doing the job .
Hi Barbie! I had my first scans after starting this particular treatment on January 8th. I was really stressed about whether it was working, like you. Scans came back to indicate no progression. And, a few things disappeared, too. My next scans are on 4/2 and 4/6. Same kind of anxiety ahead of these, but perhaps not as elevated as with the first scans. I am currently finishing up with my 6th cycle on Ibrance.
Labs all look good with the exception of low blood counts. I pushed my oncologist to check for other potential causes of anemia, etc. Turns out, my iron, thyroid, and even B12 are all okay. (I have low B12, but a second test on that showed it is not a "true deficiency," which means I do not need to have B12 shots. Still, I started taking over-the-counter B12 anyway.) My bad cholesterol is elevated (but not enough to require a statin), and I looked it up to find that Letrozole can do this. I have some finicky eyebrows and initially lost all my hair (on the Ibrance capsules) before switching to tablets in month 2. I started on biotin to try to help my eyebrows come back full. Right now, they are barely passible, especially the right one. Some scalp sensitivity came back in this last month too.
All in all, I feel that I have lucked out. I hear a lot of the ladies talk about fatigue, and I am relieved to report that I have none. Well, not in terms of mental acuity, etc. I do get winded easily if I am doing something like carrying heavier bags from the grocery store and so forth. Needless to say, outside of worrying about my next scans, I feel really good most of the time. I hope to be able to stay on these meds for as long as possible. I hope the same for YOU!

mets dx July 2015. switched from Letrozole to Anastrozole in Dec 2015, as the body did not tolerate Letrozole well. side effects are (still) annoying, and they're manageable. concern was expressed, again, to onc about cumulative effect on the "body." the current mfg is Accredo. have heard about different side effects as per different mfg with western meds.
I didn't know there were brands. I am sorry you are having issues with Letrozole. I guess all of our bodies are different and react to things differently. I hope you get help from your oncologist to resolve these issues. It is hard enough to be diagnosed with an illness and then have to deal with side effects from medications. I live in Canada and receive my drugs from the cancer agency. So I guess they make the choice. I don't have any serious side effects - except thinning hair. I guess that is a bad side effect and it makes me sad but I am also grateful to not have other issues. If hair loss is your side effect you might try Adatya. I don't know much about it except that it is topical and made up of herbs and natural ingredients. My naturopath told me to give this a try. She said some people are having good results with it. I also started taking B vitamins so that might help. All the best Sammie. I hope you get results fast.
