Hi ladies. I have tried to update you all over the last few
months but was finding it hard to find the proper words. My health has deteriorated over the last few months from my stay at the hospital the lung Infection. The blood clots I ended up with so I give myself daily shots in my stomach. My husband and I ended with covid I was taking radiation at the time and that is where they though we caught it as we did not go anywhere else . So we stopped the radiation and will return if pain in the radiated area gets worse . In the meantime my oncologists got the pet scan results back and has decided to stop all treatment going forward and use the pain management group to control the discomfort. I'm using a wheelchair now and feel the pain and electricity running up and down both legs. She told me that there are so many holes in my bones now they will start breaking down . I'm really hoping to enjoy the spring but only God knows now . i will still stay active on the forum as some of you I feel very close to and I hope all of your health improves over time
Take care all of you
Shelby

Dear Shelley, what a lot you're dealing with. I sure hope they can give you some relief from the pain. So much easier to deal with the other stuff when you're not in pain. BTW, I totally understand about the electricity up and down the legs. In fact, you described that perfectly. I've tried to tell my doc about it, but couldn't explain very well.
Wishing you a beautiful spring and sending gentle hugs
Thinking of you, and hoping your Spring is as lovely as ours is starting out to be! Your courage and strength shine through your message.....I will be thinking of you and your husband....

Dear Shelley, I am so sorry. Keep looking up, smile when you can and get a look at those Spring time blessings. Sending love, hope and very gentle hugs.Ann
Don't give up hope. Do as much research on bone loss as you can. Perhaps there is something that can restore your bones. Spring is on the way. Find a sunny spot to put a lounge chair and get as much sun as you can tolerate. It might start a healing process. If you have privacy - sun bathe without much clothing. I also have osteoporosis so hope to get some sunshine too. It might help you and I hope it helps me too. My prayers and good wishes and my heart go out to you. Hugs Marlene
Hi Shelley,

Thank you all for the wonderful support and comforting words and prayers you have sent me. All I can say the tears did not stop for sometime after reading your responses . Sorry it took me so long As I have had a few more issues rises up . I have been having pain in my frontal lobe area nose and jaw over the last few weeks . Does anyone know the difference between brain Mets and skull mets . Can you use radiation for pain control in the skull or brain ????????. I have an appointment with the pain management team on April 7 I. can't wait to see them .!! Take care to you all stay safe all the best Shelby❤️
I’m with Sandra. Too often, we’ve been through so much with MBC that we think we can trudge along when some symptoms actually require prompt attention.
I’ve occasionally found myself underplaying a symptom. I then ask myself what I’d tell a friend who told me she had such a symptom.
Stepping back like that reminds me there are essential times that shouldn’t wait for the next appointment.
Please call them and make it very clear how much pain you are experiencing. Push to be seen ASAP. Pain relief is too important to postpone.
