If you go to Dana Farber, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary lately?
I was supposed to have a virtual appt with the NP last Tuesday. She was a no-show. I called numerous times, I left messages, I asked to make another appt, this time with my oncologist, but I am blown off, every time. Nobody bothers to get back to me. This is very disturbing. Have they all gone underground? Are they swamped and cannot find a few minutes to get back to me????
Hmm... Sounds strange! I have a virtual appointment at Dana Farber next week, will let you know how I fare. I had a virtual appointment with my oncologist at Mass General last week and he was a no show (virtually) but called me on my cell, as he said there was a problem with virtual appointments.
I just got called by the scheduler and I have an appt on Thursday. On the phone. So that it is easier for them.
Will be thinking of you on Thursday! Who is your oncologist? Do you live far from DF?
Dr. Nancy Lin is my doctor. I live about 60 miles south of Boston
I’ve heard really good things about Dr. Lin! I was born in Boston and lived on Nantucket. We now live in northern VT.
Oh dear! I know the Farber well... my first job as edit tech back in 1981.... then a drug rep for pfizer oncology and get to know many of the docs there snd finally as a pt. Now I live in NZ but still get emails and even zoom calls from my lovely Boston Oncolgist although he is now at Beth Iseral next door. I hope that we can all still expect world class care!
They had some glitches but hopefully they are all resolved from now on. Yesterday I managed to talk to my lovely oncologist, Dr. Lin. I am doing well, thanks to her. Hopefully, I will stay well for the longest time. And then, perhaps at an advanced old age, die quickly, without suffering, of an unrelated cause.
