I saw my Oncologist this morning and received fabulous news that following my recent CT scan my C is stable! Yippee π
Iβve completed 3 cycles with minimal side effects so weβve agree to increase my dosage slightly to see if we can get even better results eg possible shrinkage π€
I am really pleased and if I do begin to suffer any side effects we can always adjust the dose again accordingly.
I hope you are all doing well on your meds.

Still participating in the EMBER clinical trial but my tumor markers are increasing. Scheduled for a scan Feb. 12th.

Hi Jo,
That is such good news! Congratulations on your stable results. I hope you will soon see a reduction in your tumours. It's always such a relief when you learn that your treatment is working. I hope you can stay on this treatment for a long time.
All ok Jo apart from developing Tinitus these past few weeks. Drives me crazy but will mention it to my Consultant in March (earliest date). Could be the Letrozole or Ibrance. Not sure. We have to whop the music and t.v. up to cancel out the buzzing. Oh well, least of my concerns. Take care
So glad Jo to be reading that you are stable on Xeloda , especially after the disappointment you had on the trial ...despite giving it your all . Hope you continue to do well on Xeloda , and this offers hope to the ladies on here who have recently started on this treatment . Wish you all well ! Keep being βjolly careful β Jo ! πx
Thanks. She started me on 3000mgs. per day she said because of my size! I weigh 180 and am 5' 4". I would be happy to lose 10 lbs. but don't consider myself overly heavy. Maybe I should look more closely in the mirror! I guess it is because she is very petite and slim.
Hi JoCongratulations on your results you must be thrilled
You may remember that Iβm on Xeloda and have had a drop in my tumour markers but not had scans yet
Iβm due for CT scan and a mri of brain in the next few weeks which will show the true picture...Iβm terrified of course
Iβve been feeling rubbish and not sure if itβs due to the cancer progressing or merely the side effects of the drug...easy to convince yourself either way
Yes, Iβm so relieved Xeloda is working and it was an anxious wait for stable scan results!
I hope your scans show good results that you so deserve especially after suffering side effects.
It was a year since I lost my lovely mum yesterday. In a way, I think it was a blessing that she passed peacefully at the age of 91 before Covid really kicked off.... Mum was a very cheerful & content lady & I try & take forward some of her qualities within me.
Iβm struggling with lockdown, there is so much I want to do and so much I miss, especially swimming that I know you miss too. How are you getting on with your exercise bike?
