Looking for a study

Hello! A doctor told me that an argument against aggressive early treatment is a study with patients who had metastatic breast cancer who got early chemo. Does this ring a bell for someone? He couldn’t remember the name of the study.

Is this doctor an oncologist? Terms like "aggressive early treatment" and "chemo" can mean different things to different people, including oncologists and bc patients! And the best "studies" of bc include a control group as well as the test group and are done by reputable institutions. As stated in your note, it rings no bells for me and I've been paying attention for the 16 years I've had MBC, but that doesn't mean there isn't one out there.

Hi, TopBanana! Even though I can't site any studies off the top of my head, it has always been my impression that infusion chemo was one of the "big guns" that oncologists held back for treatment closer to the end, and that they wouldn't want to squander this resource early in the game.
