Welcome Charlotte, Emma and Nicky 🐓❤️❤️❤️
There is always a pecking order with hens and it should settle after a while. Sounds like Charlotte wants to be “top dog”.
If you remove Charlotte........ Emma and Nicky would probably then fight (Peck) it out ...
Just about to check on mumma and her 2 chicks - I’m unsure of names yet. I could watch them for hours, they are so therapeutic.
Jo xx
Have you got names yet Jo?
Barb xx
Hi Barb
Mumma and chicks are all doing well. I’m still thinking about names. The problem is I’m not sure of their sex....
Lots of ideas....
I’m now off all treatment leading up to my trial. I’m achy at the moment but took Teddy for a long walk.
I’ve got blood tests tomorrow. I’m not sure yet whether they are standard tests or looking at anything else....
Jo xx
Hi Jo
Perhaps make the most of a treatment break...no side effects for a while?
When will the trial begin...do you know?... I admire you so much for doing a trial...you deserve to benefit and may help others to as well
I wouldn’t have the foggiest how to sex chicks!!... are they both yellow?... primrose and daffodil 😆
Good luck

Hi Barb,
Your girls are adorable! I bet you love having them around. I have never had chickens, but I imagine they must be a lot of fun to watch and care for. Right, I'm off out the door in a minute for my blood test.

They’re at Vanessas house but I can visit them when I like
Like you I’ve never had chickens either but they’re sweet...I like the noise they make...it’s a homely contented noise...hope they lay eggs!!
Good luck with your blood test

Hi Barb,
It sounds like what I have heard about grandchildren: you get to enjoy them and then hand them back at the end of the day! So at least this way you get to enjoy seeing the chickens, but leave their upkeep to Vanessa. That sounds like a good plan to me.
My blood test went well. It's so different being the only patient in the waiting room. They space appointments out now so that there is not a full waiting room. As I was about to enter the clinic I realised I had left my face mask at home. I washed it yesterday, but had forgotten to put it back in my handbag. Fortunately, a member of staff who was going in ahead of me gave me a disposable mask to wear.
I'm looking after my brother today, as my dad has an appointment at the eye clinic at the hospital. The hospital is still not allowing anyone other than the patient to enter, which is why my brother is with me.

Just love them Barb. We have two allotment keepers not far from our plot that keep chickens. They are fascinating. We also went to a Farmers Fayre when we lived in Cornwall. I have never seen so many different breeds of chickens. They were beautiful.
Where’s Babs ?! 😂
There’s something very homely about them ! Hope they give you( and your daughter ) hours of entertainment ! x
These ladies are adorable!
Wow! Quite big already. Was thinking of chicks. When do they start laying?
Cheers, June S.
Oh yes. They do look 4 months. They look lovely and plump. Is that the bossy one coming out of the corner, facing the camera? Looks the type. Not that I am an expert on chicken behaviour. Hope you are having a good day.
Cheers, June S.
