Update on daughter's mother in law.

I probably don't have the latest on the scan results but yesterday she was moved to a hospice so that says alot! I do know that the brain stem was damaged by the stroke. so that's not good. She still hasn't opened her eyes but she has responded with things like squeezing the nurses hand when asked to. And she makes sounds when she's talked to, no words though. One positive thing is that her 3 kids all agree and that's rare! lol And it is pulling them together. Son-in-law is flying there this morning--may have already gotten there. The kids want to have one of them with her round the clock. I don't know how that will work since there are in FL in a high covid 19 area.

I am so sorry she is having to go through this and especially with the Covid-19. She will be so confused and will not understand. It is a possibility that none of her family will be allowed in to the hospital. Prayers for her recovery.

So far, her daughter's have been allowed to be with her, one at a time. We'll see how that goes once she is settled in at the hospice.

Hi,

Thanks for the update on your daughter's mother-in-law. I hope she manages to pull through. I've heard of people going into hospice care and then being discharged because they made a recovery. Hopefully this will happen with your daughter's mother-in-law too.

Sophie

Thank you for the update. It’s good that her kids are working together as like you said that can be rare. Best of luck to her.

PJBinMI...I'm catching up here, reading in reverse chronological order, so haven't read the original post, but, my gosh, I'm so sorry!! How incredibly stressful (not a strong enough word...) this must be for all involved, but of course especially your daughter's MIL!!

So sad to read about this and hoping for the best for all!

Aww, so sad to read this. The sometimes harsh realities. May God shine His light on all your family and bring peace soon.

PJ,

I am so sorry but am glad the family is getting to see her. Our covid cases are rising in Florida. They may have hospice patients in a different place. Prayers for your family. Blessings, Hannah

Such a difficult time for families dealing with any health crisis right now. Good to hear that your son in law will get to spend time with his mother. It will mean the world to her to have her children by her side.❤️
